Investigating neuronal mechanisms of cognitive flexibility in monkeys trained to dynamically reallocate the meaning of visual images depending on a behavioral goal.
- Designed and implemented two projects in which monkeys categorized images based on rules, and divided images into hierarchical groups according to a cue.
- Recorded activity of multiple neurons in two brain regions (prefrontal and inferior temporal cortices) simultaneously using extracellular electrodes.
- Analyzed complex neuronal signals and behavior with custom Matlab scripts.
